Nicolle Gottfried Zapien

Senior Consultant and Coach

Nicolle is a licensed therapist and trained coach who has a 15 year background in marketing research, assessment, evaluation and strategic planning for Fortune 500 clients, non-profits and startups. She has conducted several hundred strategic programs designed to measure brand equity, customer loyalty, advertising effectiveness, and product research. Through this experience Nicolle realized that data alone does not help leaders to execute optimally and she added the following services to her offering: team effectiveness audits, leadership development, employee satisfaction research, executive coaching, 360 reviews and facilitation. She brings a unique and holistic blend of quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and couples this with the development of people to solve business problems in a seamless and customized fashion.

Leigh Marz, ORSCC, PCC

Senior consultant and Coach

A certified team coach, trainer, facilitator, and consultant, Leigh is passionate about building resilience and sustainability in organizations. She is skilled in guiding individuals and teams through times of major transformation, igniting possibilities grounded in measurable outcomes. Leigh is Principal of Marz Consulting and heads the West Coast offices of Human Strategies. As a former CEO, Leigh blends years of experience leading organizations with her knowledge of teams, workplace culture, and leadership.

Leigh brings 17 years of experience in public benefit organizations to Beacon. She particularly enjoys working with teams and leaders in innovative, pioneering, and conscious work culture environments. Her diverse clientele includes executives, non-profit teams, philanthropists, high-level government teams, business partners, boards of directors, management teams, and entrepreneurs. Leigh’s client organizations include The Energy Foundation, California Department of Transportation (CalTrans), Aepoch Fund, CompassPoint Non Profit Services and Contra Costa County Health Services Department.

Leigh is a faculty member of the Center for Right Relationship, where she refined and implemented the first internationally accredited team coaching program, and also received co-active coaching and leadership training through Coaches Training Institute. She is currently developing curriculum for leaders who wish to be more proactive and nimble in the face of unexpected change.

Leigh received her BA from Wittenberg University and the School for International Training. Her educational and professional background is in ecology and public health. She is a fellow of the Women’s Health Leadership Initiative and the Packard Foundation-funded Professional Development for Consultants. In addition, she is certified to administer the Team Diagnostics and Leadership Circle 360 Profile assessment instruments.
